Week 18

You’ll be able to find out the baby’s sex during your next ultrasound, so figure out if you want to know or not.

Take Infant Care Classes

Many organizations (like the Red Cross) offer classes in infant CPR and newborn care. Seriously consider enrolling to expand your kowledge and take comfort in the fact that you’ll be prepared for anything.

Address Back Pain

The changing shape of your body will put additional strain on new muscles that don’t usually get a workout. To alleviate and prevent back pain, look at where you most often sit and replace or augment your furniture with more ergonomic options.

Address Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are a common and unfortunate side effect of pregnancy, but you can help prevent them by eating lots of fiber, drinking lots of water, and not straining while going to the bathroom. Talk to your doctor about topical creams if needed.
